just getting done with alternator bracket to clear DSE sub at stock location, If any one is interested on it its done using a 2001 ls1 alternator bracket, get block side of bracket and mill out .937" ( to move alternator in to center up belt ) , will also need to grind a small section where the part # is located to clear timing cover, some more minimal grinding on alternator 10 oclock position bolt. all theres is to do now work on side bracket which seems straight forward.
.937 is my math with an ls6 from ctsv so it may be different for others but is doable using all GM parts

other pic of E brake set up and it clears 3.5" aluminum drive shaft. it was a pain in the butt got it to work.patch work is done but top pic is an older one

also working on shoulder belt set up

Recap on project. while there has been quite a bit of progress and new parts. have not had time to post. so here is a recap of parts and will post some pictures later on.

LS6 W Magna Charger
T56 magnum close ratio
Inland Empire Drive Shaft
3" Magnaflow mufflers
wheels are just for mock up.

DSE
complete sub frame
Stainless steel headers
Quadra link w
9" rearend &
Minitubs
Frame connectors
Body mounts
RS headlight motors
MC booster set up
Wiper motor
Roll Bar
Vapor Works gas tank w CTSV fuel pump option
RS sport grill kit

I got it all in place and cutting and tucking where needed , like RS kit w DSE motors needed a bit of attention to make fit.

working on 3" stainless steel mandrel bent exhaust. building it from scratch including hangers from 3/8" SS rod " had fun bending those " using hight temp blue grommets to keep it as tight to the body as possible at some places 1/4". to tight ( only time will tell ). I'm doing a floater style design where Im giving it room to expand "running all hanger rods parallel to exhaust " and using flex pipes @ header collector and exhaust ports. keeping the cuts as tight as possible.
finished the exhaust ports. came out really bitching but having second thoughts as to how they are going to react to heat.
my plan is to finish car with all the mechanical and structural work done, run it for a while and cut and change accordingly where need it.

Looks great Frankie! I knew the exhaust and DS would fit in the tunnel...

That last transition cut at the exit seems a bit sharp? Maybe a 45 and/or a couple extra bends?

Yeah it's a bit sharp but standard 45s radii are too big and I need to go under and over rail within a short distance to line things up for exhaust port. I don't think it will play a big difference in pressure flow but it was one if the things that cross my mind quite a bit.
Thanks Ron
