Excellent Job...

I wish I was there to see it.. Well Done

I may not make Pleasanton because it is so small. I may try to make a Marina event.they look to be higher speeds.

I have no idea how my carbed SBC will do, but I am itching to find out...Let the redline begin..

Me too! The car needs more work before I can do anything like that, hopefully sometime in the near future.

I need to start by attending one of these events to check things out.

Will you be up in Pleasonton trying to blow your engine up one last time? I can't remember if you said you were going to be there or not. I may try to make it up.

Matt

Thanks Mike. I don't blame you on GG... I doubt it would be my preferred first autoX if I got to choose... Marina is more wide open and less hectic.

Glad to see you will be getting out there soon!

All our cars need more work.. If that thing drives, come on out soon... you thinking autoX to start? Maybe Marina? Goodguys? I'd love to see how that Q-Link performs in that car.

Matt
I was leaning toward trying it, but it now appears I toasted the pressure plate too so I am pretty undrivable at the moment with 2 of the 3 key components of the drivetrain not working properly... (ya think?)

Looks like I'll be a spectator over there this time...

Dave, how fast are you going to get that BMF back up and running? It's going to be a beast. Giving any thought to bumping up the compression and running some triple digit octane?

Hey Scott it was good meeting you down there. Love your car, hoping to get a closer look at it some day soon.

Scotty - thanks, and so glad you made it bro.. it was a blast and so much fun with the whole RTC crew there. I am so glad your car and Eric's made it strong thru the weekend. Your car was a beast and you (and Frankie) did very well for your first outing. The car is tits man. Can't wait til we get out again somewhere...

Well, the motor plans are being concocted immediately.. not sure on timeframe... got a few more parts to procure... and the engine builder to lock down... Todd's step-brother Pettis would be on the list but I really want to keep this vendor local. I'm done with long distance vendors if I can help it... here is my short list of local engine guys:

http://www.watsonracingengineering.com/
http://www.lewisracingengines.com
http://topofthehillpc.com/
http://www.yelp.com/biz/robert-canci...chine-san-jose (built Karl Chicca's current motor)

You got any other good leads?

And I still wanna go pump gas for street driving and to maintain some sort of identification with "pro touring"..

I've heard good things about Lewis from Jody and the guys on Chevelles.com. He does tend to be a little backed up though. I'm with you on keeping things as close as possible.

DG1 (and only) <--------- this is obviously a SWEET SUE influenced referrence.

Sent you mail... My motor in the Mustang - and several of Charley's race car motors were built at TOE Performance (Tony Odo) in Suisan, CA

Well it appears that my roller lifters need to be replaced so hoping to do that in a few months, but also feel that I would need to change my oil pan to a RR pan before I did any kind of hard cornering. Some other concerns as well but have "home" priorities right now so those things need to wait

But yea would love to be able to get out and beat on it
