Default Time to start gathering LS Swap parts

Well, my 305 is still running but it appears to have damage in cylinder 5. I've thought about keeping an SBC and maybe adding fuel injection, but going to a simple 5.3 I think will be the goal. I'm in no hurry as I honestly don't have much time on my hands. Is anyone aware of companies that typically have sales throughout the year on their LS swap components? I figure I might as well wait and take advantage of them when they come around.

I'm seriously considering Holley's Blackheart components since they have mounts that let me keep the low mount AC which is a must. I'm open to other suggestions though. I'd prefer to not have to make a bunch of custom parts. The more likely to bolt everything in the better.

Thanks

Do the Hooker Blackheart stuff.
Motor mounts, headers, trans mount, oil pan, maybe accessory drive if you have the coin. alt. option is the C6 drive system.
ECM- either holley terminator or a stock ecm and harness from psi
fuel tank- Ricks tank, tanks inc
fuel lines- an hose and fittings or hard lines

I appreciate the information. I didn't think about grabbing a stock C6 accessory system. That's a good idea and will keep the components tight to the engine.

I bought Holley's Sniper drop in fuel pumps. No need to change the tanks now.

Thanks!

personally i hate aftermarket bracketry -i always try to use every piece of the factory stuff. Millions and millions of proven miles on them.

Not much for swaps to gather in the term of parts.

under 650 RWHP use all the factory computers/wiring

most junk yards sell pullouts for around $500

My 86 C10. I will probably buy a vehicle to strip so I can get the odds and ends. I don't really have time to go to a salvage yard and pull an engine or repeated trips to grab small parts.

Thanks
