Default New LS9 blocks from Summit $1808 delivered

Use the promo code "ALWAYS" to get $101 off.... no idea when this sale will end... but this block is cast from a better grade aluminum, also rotocast (shaken to get rid of bubbles... therefor denser), billet main caps, piston squirters, 13mm head bolts (All other LS are 12mm). This can be run wet sump or dry sump. They are normally around $3700-3800! Of note- You can't run a stroker crank with the stock piston squirters; however you can if you install the Katech squirters if you go that route. ($80/each)

I just bought one for my Chevelle to build up a bigger turbo motor.... That GTS76 turbo (1200hp rating) will like .9 more liters for faster spool (vs. the current 5.3).

Almost positive the LS7 head requires a 4.100" bore, so the LS9 (4.065") wouldn't work without machine work being done first.

Quick search and it seems a few people have made the heads work, but it required smaller intake valves and at that point why not just use a different head.

On the Summit link from above it states..... Notes: Block includes iron sleeves, and 8 oil squirters for piston cooling. Not for use with LS7 or LSX/LS7 heads.

People have run LS7 heads on 4.065" blocks; however they require offset dowels/slight cylinder head offsetting... I personally have not done it; however read about some that have. I guess it is the exhaust valve that is the issue and not the intake!

My block showed up! Woot woot. Time for more whooshing sounds.... meaning money flying out my wallet.
