Default Fairlane

I was going to build this Fairlane as a race car but changed my mind. I don't need two race cars. I wanted something different to drive to cruise nights and car shows to promote the shop. I have a 428 and a set of ported Edelbrock heads I took off the race car and a manual C-6.

This is what we started with

I thought I was going to have to buy a new quarter but I spent an afternoon with the dent puller

Tied the front torque to the rear frame rail

I remember going lots of miles in one that color when I was a kid, you just brought back lots of memories ! I don't think yours will be the same when it's done.

We added a roll bar. Still have to add the side bars.

428 CJ with ported Edelbrock heads and a reverse shift pattern manual control C-6 that I used in my race car before running a JPT C-4. Before Jim goes back to Michigan he is going to go through the C-6 and his C-4 from the race car.

We stripped the engine compartment and welded the shock towers like Shelby did on the early Mustangs and also did the Shelby drop.

Not needed holes were filled in the firewall

Welds ground and than engine compartment epoxy primed
