Default My 69 Camaro Build

My car is finally starting to see some progress so I guess its time to start a build thread.

I bought this car earlier in the year (2013) with small intentions just to update the steering, suspension, brakes, and a few other things and just enjoy it. I should have known better cause I am not capable of ever doing that weather its with a daily driver or a project.

Here is the car as it looked when I got it

Once I started to tear it apart and order parts it spiraled out of control. I pulled the whole car apart down to a shell. Removed the interior, front clip and sheet metal, engine/tranny/rearend, all wiring and lights removed etc etc.

With the help of some good people, Darren@ridetech, Jeremy at Miranda Built, the folks at Wilwood, COR Wheels, and Michelin Tires, I ended up with a healthy parts list to get me thru the next few months.

I ended up with the following.

Ride Tech Stage 2 Suspension Package with Muscle Bar and Tru-Turn Steering
Wilwood 14" 6 Piston Fronts and 14" 4 Piston Rears all with upgraded Nickel Calipers
COR Cypher 3 Piece Wheels 20x12 in the rear and 19x9 in the Front
Michelin Pilot Spots 325/25/20 Rear and 265/30/19 Front
DSE Mini Tubs
QuickPerformance 9" Narrowed with Billet ends, new center section etc

My good friend Jeremy of Miranda Built has really helped me out on this build.

We immediately started to tackle the mini tubs, then he worked his magic and shaved the firewall, and got the car rolling back on its own 4 tires.

Great project Josh! COR makes some nice stuff.

Tell me, do you really have a lime green wall at your house?

love the wheels, nice start.
Does the 265 rub on the stock subframe?
It seem wide
