Default Tickets Now on Sale for the 2015 OPTIMA® Ultimate Street Car Invitational

September 11, 2015 (MILWAUKEE) – Tickets for the 2015 OPTIMA® Ultimate Street Car Invitational at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway are now available for purchase online. Now in its eighth year, the OPTIMA Invitational occurs the first week of November immediately following the SEMA show, one of the industry’s largest trade shows, and has become a highly anticipated event among industry enthusiasts, influencers, manufacturers and media.

This year’s event will take place Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, bringing together a diverse and fierce field of an estimated 100 competitors. The 2015 Ultimate Street Car Invitational field is comprised of qualifiers from the nine successful Search for the Ultimate Street Car events. These events are showcased in the corresponding MAVTV network series, “OPTIMA’s Search for the Ultimate Street Car,” which airs on Fridays at 8 p.m. EST.

“We’ve spent the last year traveling to the nation’s most iconic tracks searching for the highest-performing street cars across the country and invited them to compete in Vegas with the best of the best,” said Cam Douglass, director of marketing for OPTIMA Batteries. "With 100 of the country’s top street cars coming together for this final event, the competition will be fierce, and there’s no telling who will come out on top.”
Tickets are $30 each and include entry for both days. Gates open Saturday and Sunday at 8:30 a.m. with competition events beginning at 9:30 a.m. The event takes over the Outside Road Course at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and is the perfect venue for the various demanding challenges the OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational offers participants.

Each challenge tests the limits of both the car’s and driver’s ability at every turn, and the performance from each challenge affects the participant’s overall score. This year’s challenges include the Falken Tire Hot Lap Time Trial, Detroit Speed & Engineering Autocross, Wilwood Disc Brakes Speed Stop Challenge and the Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Performance Design Challenge. The Las Vegas Motor Speedway, located just 15 minutes north of downtown Las Vegas, is easily accessible for attendees of the SEMA Show and offers something for every motorsports fan.

See even more of the action and excitement now on the OPTIMA Batteries YouTube page, stop by the OPTIMA Invitational website to see driver profiles and news or visit the OPTIMA Batteries Facebook page to join the conversation.

Will tickets be available for purchase on-site? My attendance there will depend on how I, and the rest of my group feels about staying in Vegas longer after a week at SEMA, so we probably won't know till the day of.
