Default Cuda Convertible being redone at RAD RIDES

http://www.radrides.com/proj.htm

Go to page 3 of the project section and click on the yellow Cuda.

I remember seeing this car at SEMA a few years ago and thinking what a bitching ride.

Now it's at Rad Rides, When they first posted the project, it looked like they were just going to freshen up of the engine compartment. But it looks like the further they dig, the more of a nightmare they uncover. It looks like they are now starting all over.

I feel bad for the guy who owns the car having to pay to get the car build twice.

I guess the lesson for us is that it pays in the long run to go to a quality shop from the get go.

Saw this in person a few weeks ago. Trans tunnel looks like a patch quilt with all of the little peices of metal they stitched together for "repairs". This car was a total mess everywhere you looked. Engine was even messed up as it was dumping so much fuel. Heard the guy spent big money to get a car that was a big disappointment. The Rad Rides guys will take care of it for sure and he'll end up with the car he wanted the first time.

OR the lesson is you get what you pay for. If the shop promises you top quality work but at half the price of a high quality shop. Then thats what your gonna get.

From what I heard this guy got no bargain on the first build dollar wise, he just got taken.

I wasnt all that freaked out until the last couple of pix with the quarter panel repairs...

As for the rest... I've seen alot worse....but it also depends on how much $$ he paid for the work

I've BTDT....lesson learned......

This was the car at SEMA 2006, I loved the car and it definitely didn't look like a cheap build.

Been following it on

http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...97215866957536

It gets worse, I feel for the guy and I don't even know the owner. I gues this is why it's scary as hell when your buying a finish car that looks great but you never know what the hell is under the paint!
