Hi guys/gals, iv been lurking around for a little while and decided to finally post.
My name is Nathan and I am from Minnesota. I have a 1971 Chevy Nova that iv had since I was in high school (8 years ago haha). It originally started as a regular muscle car look (jacked up in the back with cragars and a small block). I have completely rebuilt the car since I have gotten it.
My friends have a couple 3rd gen Camaros that handle and take corners and we all did a autocross event and ever since then iv wanted my Nova to turn and stop with the best of them.
Since then iv swapped in a 6.0 LQ9 but im stilling running the stock 3 speed manual transmission behind it. The stock 45 year old drum brakes at each corner had to go, so I made custom brake brackets that hold C5 disks up front and LS1 Camaro rears and to clear the bigger brakes I got a set of 18x8 and 18x9 ASA BMW rims. Currently im running a 245/40/18 up front and 275/35/18 out back. and a hellwig 1-1/8 hollow front sway bar.
I am really interested in the suspension section of the forums and have read some of Ron Suttons threads on it and he makes it easy to understand. My end goal is to make my own tubular control arms but i still have a lot of learning to do before that can happen. Thanks
