Default Camaro options

I have been looking at a C8.. I think I may wait till 2023 for the Zr1 with the flat motor and rumoered twin turbos.
Looking to make another car to hald me over till then..

Looking for thoughts on the ZL1, the Yenko and the Exorcist from Hennessy
Is the Yenko officially GM endorsed for example?
Has Hennessy gotten their act together or is that a bad idea to even think about?

Hennessy hasn’t. Don’t fall for it.

I hear great things about the ZL1. Just a bigger C7Z...

You could always check with SW on Hennesey as I believe he's had them do work for him.

I've got two friends with ZL1's and they both love them. My preference would be for a Z28. I don't need 600+hp though.

Good luck with whatever you choose.

Be careful with that even. Hennessy has a reputation for taking care of high profile people and local people. SW fits the first and pretty close on the 2nd. So many horror stories still about that place I’d never consider getting tied up in it.

Horror stories from friends that have lost their asses and MANY former employees of his.

I just bought a 2019 ZL1. I really do like the car after shying away from them since they came out. The Alpha chassis on the Gen 6 Camaro is really that good. Not crazy about the interior design but I have come to like it better. Fun car! The 6th gen ZL1's really hold their value amazingly well which was a big selling point for me. The Magnusson 2650 is the upgrade of choice it seems where it will support well past 850whp with other supporting mods. Stock cam runs out of fuel around 720rwhp on pump gas with the Mag 2650. The Tremec 6060 has the 2.29 gear set like the C6 ZR1 but has .54 6th gear with 3.73 if you like rowing the gears. I have the same gearset in my '01 Vette and the '69 Camaro. The A10 is pretty amazing as well. Overall one of the best bang for the buck performance cars on the road right now.

Thumbs up

6th Gen ZL1 is a great car! I recently sold my 2017 SS 1LE in anticipation of a C8 Z06. The SS 1LE is basically a ZL1 without a blower (455 vs 650hp).
Absolutely LOVED the car. I am thinking I should have waited a little while longer before letting it go

As cjfirstgen mentioned, the ZL1 cars hold their value very well and are relatively easy to make bigger power. I also agree they are best bang for the buck out there.
