Default Recaro Specialist M

I have Recaro Specialist M's in my 68 Camaro with a 5th gen console. The seats have adjustments on both sides so they can be put on either side. The inner adjustment knob hits the console. Has anyone removed the inner knobs on these Recaro's for clearance issues?

Yeah, they just pop off. There will still be a stub sticking out but nothing says you can't cut that off and find a plastic cap to snap in the hole.

I removed the cover hoping to find a screw holding the knob on, no screw.
