Default Local Auto-X Day 2

The old club I used to run with back in the 80's has a two day event at a local shopping mall, I couldn't make day 1 due to a neighborhood garage sale yesterday, made it out this morning to snap a few shots and might head out for the afternoon to watch the the serious cars. Appears they all sandbagged the morning session.

Ran into my longtime varmint hunting buddy who's building an LS powered 240Z, his son has the look of a future player! Also reminds me of the pic of GW in the big folding chair!

This car flat gets with it! 3.8 litre Buick V6 with a Camaro T5 tranny.

The patinaed sleeper, the guy could wheel this car and it has plenty of motor.

Fatties

Smoothest driver I saw in the morning sessions and this little Subie definitely has some motor.

I got there a little late for registration and tech. It was a two day event and didn't appear they were really set up for tech and new registrations.......Kind of goofy. I did a course walk and attended the drivers meeting though. Seriously thought about talking them into it.......then looked at the lines to run and decided to play photog instead. Went back in the afternoon and the majority of 'players' were gone.

Looks like a fun group of racers, how many entrants total?

What kind of group is it...some kind of local private sanctioned autocross club or an SCCA event? The cars look very well prepared and ready to rock and it looks like a decent site to hold an event as well. I bet it was fun even if you didn't get to play with them. Maybe next time...

Based on a pit parking guesstimate there was somewhere around 100 cars.

It's a local group: http://www.eescc.org/

I'm somewhat regretful that I didn't push the issue and run but I really didn't have the whole day to burn for 5 or 6 runs.
