Default cons to running a 12" front rim?

Hi guys. I am building a 63 vette conv. and having fender flares made for the front and rear which would allow me to tuck a 12" front rim if I wanted. I am running 325's for the rear and for some reason i love the idea of big meaty tires up front also. Providing I had enough clearances is there any cons that I am missing with running that wide of tire up front? Im going crazy trying to decide if I want 10" or 12" front rims! I thought I would get some opinions

Thanks

There will be more scrub since there's a bigger patch of rubber on the ground, your car may wander if your roads have crowns in them..

If you're building a track car then maybe you'll see a gain.. but if not, then I'd personally stick with an 11" and use a 305 or 315.

I'm currently wondering the same thing. I want to stretch 305 on a 12 for the front, is there a real downside for track use?

Id ask the guys at DSE. Kyle and Stacy run some serious meats on the front of their 2nd gen camaro. You might even consider asking speed tech because with their extreme frame they state you can can also run some fatties up front. I personally would run what it takes to balance the car from the motor to the suspension but I know there is more to it than just the size. I remember reading about when they were developing the C6 they reduced the front for more top speed and other reasons.
