Default New kid from TX

Hello all, my name is Marcus and I am from Groves, TX. I have been a member for a while, i have posted once I think but haven't given a proper introduction. I must say I love this site, not only for the info and tech but also mainly for the pictures. I love cars that are built and finished but I have to say my favorite part is, the process. There is nothing better than looking through member sections and car of the month sections and seeing how the cars came about and the detail that went into them to get to that finished product. I am 21 years old and so far have owned 3 f-bodies, 1 of which I still have but am now having to get rid of. I am in college for process operating and bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. I don't have a lot of time nor money anymore to go on with my current project. Over the years I have been into cars, and worked at a performance shop for 2 years. Like everybody else for the most part I drag raced for a while with my current 86 iroc-z. But at goodguys in Ft Worth, TX last october I saw a car that made me change the way i wanted to go with my car. It was the rs concepts (i think?) Green 1970 Chevelle! That car just blew me away, and from then on I was hooked into the pro-touring style of car. I was tired of trailering my car around, I wanted to drive it. Anyways, just thought I would say Hello, and that hopefully I will have another car one dayto show off like you guys!

Hello Marcus! Ironically my name is Marcus too. And I'm from Dallas, Tx. What's even more killer is I love Chevelles too. I have a pro-touring 72. Same body style as the 70, except the headlights and bumpers are different. The 70 is the more popular, but I got a good deal on the 72. Get you one soon!! Nice talking to you.

Welcome Marcus!!

Excellent introduction!!

The Chevelle you mention -- was built by THE ROADSTER SHOP -- they have a good website -- so just google 'em -- and drool... LOL

Most of us were young once -- a very long time ago for some of us...

Stay in college - that's way more important and then you'll get a car when you're able!

Thanks for the welcome, and thank you for telling me who's chevelle that is. I have a bunch of pictures of that car from the GoodGuys show on a crashed HD So getting to see a picture or two of it again is cool. I really had no problem with getting rid of yet another camaro, school is always on top of my list. I think this time around, I am going to finally find me a 70 gto to build!
