Same transmission. The Super Magnum Kit includes the clutch, etc. Super references to the kit not the trans. The main thing you want to focus on is the T56 Mag has two gear ratio setups.

Use this:

engine combo that i want

http://paceperformance.com/i-1590874...m-t-combo.html

t56 super magnum
The smoothest shifting, strongest, and most versatile 6-speed aftermarket transmission.

These Chevrolet Performance Tremec T-56 manual transmissions are truly brand new from the ground up. They can withstand up to 700 ft.-lbs. of torque, with gears featuring substantially increased face widths and 2-piece laser-beam welded construction, allowing for greater control of the tooth angles, pitch, and alignment.

Features:

•Exterior case similer to forth-generation F-body with stronger, high-capacity gear sets, input shaft and output shaft used in the Tremec TR6060
•26-spline input shaft
•31-spline output shaft
•Slip-yoke design
•40-tooth reluctor ring that's necessary for use with electronic vehicle speed sensors used with Chevrolet Performance controllers
•Kit includes shifter handle and Chevrolet Performance-logo ball-type shift knob
•New synchronizers featuring fine tooth angles

•Bolstered one-piece countershaft to resist distortion
•Re-designed shift forks
•An extensively modified transmission case to prevent leaks under high-stress conditions and increase overall power-handling capabilities
•Street - (1st-2.66, 2nd-1.78, 3rd-1.30, 4th-1.00, 5th-0.80, 6th-0.63)

T56 magnum,
The kingpin of TREMEC's high performance line-up, the T-56 Magnum double-overdrive 6-speed transmission takes the very best from TREMEC's current OEM technologies and pairs it with the most popular features of the TKO 5-speed.

Able to withstand a massive 700 lb-ft. of torque while providing unbelievably crisp shifts, no other manual transmission on the planet offers as much combined strength, versatility, and general ease-of-use as the T-56 Magnum.

Known in its original equipment form as the 'TR-6060', the Magnum is an aftermarket version of the same transmission found in many of today's most celebrated factory super cars – including the ZR1 Corvette and ACR Viper – giving you refinement where you want it and strength where it counts.

Features:

•New synchronizers featuring fine tooth angles
•Bolstered one-piece countershaft to resist distortion
•12 Tooth Reluctor
•Stronger input shaft
•Re-designed shift forks
•An extensively modified transmission case to prevent leaks under high-stress conditions and increase overall power-handling capabilities
•Street - (1st-2.66, 2nd-1.78, 3rd-1.30, 4th-1.00, 5th-0.80, 6th-0.63)

two different part numbers
The Super Magnum part # is a Chevrolet Part # while the other is a Tremec part #. I would think it is the same trans in the kit Tremec part #TUET11009 both with the 2.66 1st gear. Call them and ask. Tremec only makes the four part #'s I posted for the aftermarket T56 Magnum applications. That said the "kit" may be the OEM trans and not the aftermarket model which probably the only difference is the "kit" trans will not have the manual speedo output.

Most including myself go with TUET11012 which is the 2.97 1st gear but it depends on your gearing and tire combo you intend to run. Check that box first.

All the aftermarket Magnum's have both electronic and manual speedometer output.

goign to go with a ls3, rear tire is a 315/30/18, rear gear is 4.11 for now. Easily change out if need be.

https://lateral-g.net/forums/show...t=38891&page=3

this seems like everyone is going with the 2.66 gearing

Opinions please?

Also would you go with the ls3 430hp version and upgrade later with better parts or get the plug and play 480hp version right away?
Looks like you found the info, Randy. The main benefit is the reluctor ring which talks to the computer "better" than the regular Magnum and will offer the VSS output (to your speedo) within the GM harness.

We have a special going on for the Connect & Cruise packages, where you get the $500 savings off the front end instead of having to wait. Also a few bucks off of Pace's price.
Just thought I'd throw that out there!!

TUET11009 with 2.66 first gear for me too. I'm sure you saw it at the shop! My bell housing is a little different but the trans is identical.

No LS3 for me...

Middle one comes with a $500 rebate?

I'd just call pace. Hopefully they can tell you the difference.

The $11,800 430hp price AND the last 480hp ones actually include a Magnum, not a Super Magnum. I called Pace to verify this. Typo.

The middle one has the rebate offering, and again the main difference with the Super is the 40 tooth reluctor that'd help your speedometer situation and integrate with the GM harness.
For the extra $$$ of the Super Magnum, that choice is up to you

MSRP on the Super Magnum is $4516 (Pace sells for $3878)
MSRP on the regular Magnum is $2995. So that's where most of the price difference is.
