Default best prices I've seen....

Best prices I've seen are at crate engine depot.

There are two diferent prices, one for replacement engines (i.e. STOCK) and there is a premium for GM Performance engines.

http://www.crateenginedepot.com/stor...P9056C274.aspx
Reman LS3 - $5300

http://www.crateenginedepot.com/stor...0-P1897C0.aspx
New complete LS3 - $6300

Just depends what you are looking for I guess.

For what it's worth, Pace Performance has 'em for $6119.95.

Save you a couple hundred over Crateenginedepot.com.

That said, be sure to check the costs on shipping. There are many folks out there that jack up the shipping price so they can list a lower price.

I have not yet ordered from Pace.

One person who I have ordered many parts from and have always had great service at a great price is Jeff Tate at Days Chevrolet. I would run the question by him -- you already know the ball park price. See what he has to say.

jtate at dayschevrolet dot com.

No, I don't have any association with him (other than him selling me parts).

So on top of the cost of the crate engine, how much more money will have to be shelled out to to get it up and running (electronics, etc)?

Im asking bc I have a 69 Camaro with a GM crate 350 and a T56 magnum, and in the next year or so Im looking to either go LSx or maybe just go BBC (468-496").

do not forget fuel system which could be 150ish for inline, 240ish for tankinc setup or 1k++ for a new tank well set up for a LS motor. Do the included manifolds work for these cars? They likely would not work for my chevelle. either way there will be some work an dmoney in the exhaust changes. And take my word for it the small stuff will nickle and dime you to death hoses, connectors, extra wires to clean it up, fixing other problems you notice, fluids, that cam swap to make more power while you are at it...
