Exclamation Lowered Look on 68 GTO?

Hey all. I am new to this site and I recently found Roger Poirier's GTO. The "dropped" look that he has goin on with his car is exactly what I have been looking to do with my 68 GTO. However, I do not have the finances at the time to start over with all new suspension components for the front and rear. I was wondering, is there a way to get the dropped look with factory control arms? I figure I might have to replace the springs and shocks, but I am in the process of doing a frame-off resto and only have so much dough to spread out for the whole car. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Rob

simple and cheap route: cut your stock springs
better route: buy a set of 4 drop springs
