condenser and drier package mount? According to the VA website, it mounts "to exsisting radiator mouniting holes." Does this mean it mounts in front of the rad. on the other side(grill side) of the core support? I have started mock-up with the motor, trans, rad, etc and was not sure. I still need to order the surefit kit to run with the Front runner system I have. Just trying to get a mental picture of where this is going to go until I get it. Thanks for the help.

Mine came with 4 brackets an assortment of 8 small bolts and nuts, and 4 sheet metal screws, all with no pictures or instructions. I mounted it on the grill side of the rad support by drilling holes for the sheet metal screws into the rad support and used the nut/bolts to mount the bracket to the condensor. I ran hoses to it from around the battery end. My AC compressor is on the driver's side and I have not run the hoses to it from the condensor. Looks like I am going to have to purchase more hose as I also ran mine inside the passenger fender from the firewall to keep the engine bay clean. Not much help but its what I did or more correctly what I am working on now.

I concur with Chris, I didn't see any easy place to mount it but ended up using the brackets they give you to mount it in front of the radiator on the core support. I mounted the drier on the front of the core support too, just to the left of the condenser if looking on from the front. However, I might look at mounting it on the firewall under the passenger side fender if I had it to do over again. I ended up running the lines under the core support to the compressor.

I tend to do things a bit different, but it was important to me to "hide" as much of the system as possible. I actually installed the drier in the passenger cowl. However, it could have easily been mounted on the firewall about where the old blower motor hole was. There is no difference in performance of the unit with it there or up front.

I did something different on the condenser too. I bought my VA through DS&E. It has holes on each side of the unit. I lined it up with the core then drilled four holes (one in each corner). I tack welded 1/4 x 20 bolts to the core facing forward to make studs through the holes I drilled. I then used a 1/2" spacer on each stud and slid the condenser on to of that. The result is an ultra clean look without the sheetmetal screws running all over the core.
