Very interesting!!! Very cool, but my question is who gets the money from the sale? Unless he has other family that they didn't mention in the write up?? I just hope it's not our government that will benefit from the sale!!!

I know the high end collectors want to "not wash" or "not detail" this car, but, imo, i think that would be an injustice. I hope there's no mouse/rats nest's in there either......love barn finds...

Looks killer in black. I love the exhaust on those 69 and 70s.

Cool car but I can't help but think what a waste. I had a 70 fastback for years and I can say I definitely enjoyed it most when actually driving it. The Carbon Edition Vette I have now had just under 1000 miles on it when I bought it from a guy that had it for 2 years in Vegas... I put that almost that many miles on it within just two months of owning it. While it is 1 of 252 built, I can't imagine parking it and hoping it will last in my garage for 40 years. Weather was actually nice here in CO today and I had it out running errands and it is just so bitchin' to drive - why would you buy a top of the line car for the time like that Shelby and not get out and go through about 10 sets of rear tires in the first couple of years?

If that car were mine for 40 years it would have had 108K miles, not 8K and as for the difference in resale - do you care when you are dead?

The guy obviously loved the car a lot to keep maintaining it in storage. Strange that he didn't drive it in nearly 40 years.

It's like saving your wife for the next guy. Drive it like you stole it.
