Default Ricks tanks sending unit

Hey guys,

I’m about ready to order a Ricks Tanks and Carl’s kit.

I’m curious what’s better the tube style sending unit that Ricks has the option for or use the one on the SS module?

Ricks is $125 with the tank and the SS module from RA is $115 with the sending unit built in.

I tend to look through the lens of WWSD (What would Stielow do) and I believe he has been running the tube option on the last few tanks.

Anyone else given this thought?

I have the tube style one in mine. No issues after several years of usage.

I also like to think WWSD.

I spoke to Carl when ordering my setup and opted to run the ZL1 pump with sending unit for ease and a clean install. When I ordered the tank from Rick's, Hector had the hole made in the tank to run their sending unit and just sent me a stainless block off plate. This way in the future I could use it if my fuel pump needs changed.
It's important that whatever gauge you use has the ability to read the float level signal from the sending unit. I'm choosing to run the Dakota Digital gauges and they can read just about all of them!

Thanks for the insight Jmac. I will run Dakota Digital RTX so shouldn’t be a issue with that.
