Default New Guy

Hello all,

As my name states you can probably tell I have a 69 Mustang

Joining forum to get ideas on what to do next. Been lurking for a few months and also on the pro touring forum.

This is Veronica (I don’t usually name my cars but a friend named her and I thought it fit so it stuck)

No grief about wheels! On there when I bought them and will either be doing BC forged or Weld Ventura’s this winter.

Ridetech front shockwaves with there front Upper and lower control arms, strong arms and shock waves and Hotchkis control arms and sway bar rear.

Reason for the mix and match was Hotchkis control arms already on rear so just added the sway bar.

Brakes are Willwood Aero6’s and superlites

Motors a 489 and was thinking LS but she was built so well and sounds amazing. Scat internals

Hopefully EFI’d and aluminum heads this winter. Will update all fittings to black.

She’s a basic bolt on build but I wanted a driver I could drive the sh!t out of so she works.

Anyways hello!

Welcome to the site. Nothing wrong with Torque Thrust wheels. They're a good looking wheel which is why they're everywhere.

The car looks great. If the BBC is running well and making the power you want, adding EFI is the way I would go.

Good luck with it. Keep us posted!

Great car! I just did a EFI upgrade on BBC and it was a big improvement over the carb I had. I hear some have carbs are less problems then mine was.

Default Holley Terminator EFI

Andrew (Dr EFI) helped with the Holley Terminator EFI on my 440ci Pontiac and it completely changed the car! So I'm a firm believer that if the BBC was built well and is running well already you should keep it and just enjoy the modern convenience, efficiency and power gains from an EFI conversion!

1} Rick's tanks should make a RestoMod tank for your Chevelle...
2} Get with Carl at VaporWorx for the GM fuel module to drop into that tank and all of your fuel needs are covered.
3} Get with Andrew (Dr. EFI) to have him tune the EFI on your BBC!

The aluminum heads would be a great power adder but can always be added later and Andrew could easily return the new engine combo for you virtually. Of course if you have the funds I'd add some good flowing aluminum heads (310-325cfm) and ask Andrew for a cam recommendation (248/260) to work well with the EFI and just send it! You'll be glad you did!

Cool car with lots of tasteful mods already... I'd focus on the above and then your wheels of choice if it were me.

AND please move that remote oil filter from under the vehicle before it gets hit or ripped off and you kill that BBC!
