Default DSE Quadralink vs. Air Ride Airbar

How does the Airbar compare with DSE Quadralink? Any advice on what to purchase?

I can't say about the ride differences, but I know with DSE kit you have to cut your floor. The Airbar, which is the same as the Alston G-Bar (the orginal one) fits right onto your frame with no cutting. I've installed the airbar and it was very easy to install. I have coilovers with mine so it's adjustable for ride height.

I have a g bar but if I had it to do all over again it would have been DSE on all four corners. Just can't beat the quality and customer service period.

Did you have specific issues with your G bar?

I just installed a Quadra link in my Camaro. It makes the steering of the car feel precise. The ride huge improvement over the leaf springs that were on it. I personally don't think you can go wrong with airbar or quadra link.

Frank, are you going to be selling upgrade kits for the G-Bar? I'd also like to see adjustable lower bars to allow better centering in the wheel well. It seemed to me that the position in the wheel opening varies quite a lot with the angle of the spring perches. It would be nice to use the lower bars to center it and then adjust the uppers to set the pinion angle.

Thanks,
Don

No, not until tomorrow! LOL! your 1 day early.

Long story short, I made some changes to the bars on Project EmptyNest that allowed me to square the rear in the car. We put a reproduction one piece floor in that car, and they are infamous for having the right leaf spring pocket welded in the wrong spot. Sure enough, her car had the right wheel back farther then the left. And when we got out the gauges, we needed the ability to adjust the arms about 5/16 different from side to side. Also, because we STUFFED Project EmptyNest with so much tire, we needed the ability to move the entire rear back another 1/2".

So while I was at it I added Kevlar impregnated rod ends and made the uppers double adjustable too. These are the same Rod End we have been running in Project Prodigy for a few years now. Absolutly awesome and no wear or noise! Double adjustable uppers makes setting and changing pinion angle WAY more easy then the urethane single adjustable version.

Now the rear is not only adjustable for wheel base and pinion angle. But another huge added benifit of the rod ends is that the rear articulates more freely with the rod ends then with the urethane bushings. Also, the rods ends help reduce any deflection in the arms also.

The entire project was so sucsessful I am having my "Prodigy Bars" all built this way. I have 10 kits coming in 2 weeks.

I also will be offering a Prodigy Bar" upgrade kit so you can upgrade without changing anything but the bars.

This hobby is all a evolution, this just takes it to the next level.

Pictures and release tomorrow.
