Just got back from car weekend down in Monterey
Drove the Pantera down on thurs and passed all the
Pebble cars going the other way on their drive from the Lodge
Went over to the Warf to look at the 62 ferrari
that later sold for $44 mil... my favorite was the F40
Then off to Quail lodge and Baja Cantina where everything
shows up for a time at their Hot rod night.. dinner at our
club Prez's house that night near Laguna.. luck guy
Friday off to the Race track and through the pits and
watch some races.. my son had Peter Brock sign his Daytona
coupe model.. so now with Shelby and Brock signatures
My photographer Pantera buddy had his calendar of shots
of cars on the track... he was getting signatures and even
asked for mine.. Dinner on the lawn with Panteras around us
at the Los Laurels Lodge for the night
Saturday off to cars a Coffee at Seaside... then a tour thru
Reggie Jacksons collection.. big bat room with all the engines
is really cool...walked down the street to the Lemons show
I am doing my 63 truck with no paint and a lot of rust but
these guys have more Rust and holes than surface area...
Over to Mecum and watched the 1.5 to 3.2 mil cars go across
Most unsold but one at 3.2 did sell
BBQ later that night at the track with the pantera boys
then walked over to the tiger boys camp for a while
Great weekend.. hanging with my son, buddies and cars

One of my buddies who has been taking a lot of motorsports
pictures the last few years had the best day ever
He did a calendar last year with many cars including
Mika Hakkinen driving Fittiplaldis 74 champion McLaren M23
He brought that to Mika on saturday and had him sign the photo
Mika asked if he could get a copy of the photo.. he was so honored
He also had Derrik Bell sign a photo of a 917 car so quite a day for him
I was also asked to sign the best picture of my car on turn 5 he photographed
a few years ago... so I was honored he even asked lowly me
