Default 68 Camaro RS fenders with Standard grille

Hey guys, I have a really nice set of NOS 68 Camaro front fenders that I would like to use on my build the problem is they are RS fenders and I really want to run a standard front grille. I know i will need to remove the RS headlight tabs and use the correct standard headlight mounting brackets but other than that should the swap work? has anyone done this this? am i better off just buying aftermarket standard front fenders? if so what brand?
thanks
Paul

I would not cut the brackets out of your oem rs fenders due to the fact you could get a grand a piece for them or even more. Amd makes the best aft. Fenders. They will need some work to to fit perfectly. Or you could sell your oem rs fenders and get some standard fenders and prolly save some money if you don't want to do the metal work on the aft. Fenders to make them fit. Don't cut up your oem rs fenders!!!!!

Can't you just bend the rs bracket back out of the way ?
