EFI cars need a collector, whether it's internal or external. 1500 HP forced inducted is a BIG pump. Be careful when you look at the different pumps available for flow vs. voltage. They like to publish numbers at very high voltages.
I'm running a little more power than you are, and use a Holley VR2 main pump with two smaller lift pumps to "charge" the collector. Because my engine will very rarely be at that power level, a single pump would be too large for the reduced power; just heating and returning 95% of the fuel. The VR2 is essentially four fuel pumps, two individual pumps with a "high/low" function. This lets you supply the right amount of fuel without constantly compressing, heating, and returning excessive amounts.
