Default Hot Rod Power Tour 2014 sets attendance records!

It's a great thing for our industry to see that records were set this year on the Hot Rod Power Tour. You can see 500+ photos from the tour here:

  • 5,828 registered vehicles came out to be a part of the fun
  • 2,071 of these made the entire week long trip as ‘Long Haulers’.
  • 3,000+vehicles attended each stop on the Power Tour
  • 15,000+ people attended the kickoff day in Charlotte(Concord), North Carolina
  • 3,497: 2014 Long Haul People on Tour
  • 100,500: 2014 Total Number of Spectators on Tour (approximately)

I know it's not a pro touring type thing. But driving 2600+ miles was a great time and you can find out all types of stuff about your car. I learned that mine had a lot of rattles and air leaks which made driving it not as comfortable as my z06 but it made it with no major issues 2nd year in a row. Plus you get to see a lot of super nice cars that are actually DRIVEN which is the whole purpose of a pt car

The Knoxville stop was only 20 minutes from our shop and produced more foot traffic than Charlotte. Met lots of great people.

Looking forward to long haulin' in 2015!

It was a blast but a couple of stops they were not prepared for the traffic. Some people it took them over two hours just sitting in the traffic to get into the venue. They did not expect such a huge turnout. The size of it will really limit where we can go. It will have to be cities with stadiums or large fairgrounds with multiple entrances.
