I've watched this three times now -- full screen....
This guy RACES! What we do in our vintage race cars is NOTHING compared to the way this guy is driving! OMG!
NOTE the tiny tires on these cars..... same stuff Charley and I are on --- 245 X 15's....
Also noticed he's tackin' that bad boy to 8,000.... Tony Oddo (engine builder) told me -- run it to redline all the time -- we need to rebuild it every 40 hours.... take it to 7,000ish and you can run it for a few years. Guess where I run down the straights.... around 6,500 and hold it there. Plenty fast enough for me.

"The Vette was a big block and the GT350 has a 289. The driver of the GT350 is Curt Vogt who owns Cobra Automotive in Connecticut. He pretty much has the fastest GT350 in that class. Two very different setups and driving styles needed for each car".

Accelerating is optional...........stopping is mandatory. Your car WILL stop one way or another.

"They did a number of shows on the vette. Old school corvette was the name. I think i heard there is some controversy over legality of it racing that class.
Peter Klutt found a way to get the SVRA race director to A. allow his no history car, a long time requirement was pre 1973 wheel to wheel verifiable history and B. run and win with the most cheated up car ever, the new owner of the SVRA told him not to bring it back. the SVRA race director also lost his job with the SVRA but found a way to become race director for the July race at Road America"
