Question leaf spring perch problem please help

I have a ford 9 out of a 1969 cougar and it has the tapered axle housings which are only 2 3/4 inch. Does any one know where to get the weld on leaf spring perches I need in the GM multileaf style? I have looked everwhere but so far no luck.
THANKS A LOT

hey welcome to the site BTW. You can use a universal perch from several vendors...I believe they stock them in summit. Try one for a 55-57 Chevy. Another option would be welding a 3" 2 piece sleeve. GL

Default Leaf spring help

Any good circle track supply house will have them, Howe racing, Stock Car Products or Speedway Engineering. All will have what your looking for at a fair price.

I have the same tapered housings and used those DSM perches. I cut a 3" exhaust tube in half and used it's pieces as spacers. I centered the rear and set pinion angle, tightened them down, then welded only the bottom half to the axle tubes. I then took out the spacers and bolted the top halves back on, for lack of a place to keep them.
