Default Tire Rack, Tire comparison Video

Anyone else watch this?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kASM04zuHlo
Not sure the results are 100% accurate, I have a bunch of questions regarding the test.
-What order were the tires tested in?
-what time of day were they each tested at?
-outside temp during each test?
-why is there no video of each independent test?

I guess I find it hard to believe that the dunlop was faster then the other popular tires most fast auto x cars are using. its also weird that the winning Tire happens to be a tire that tire rack sells.

I was skeptical too....until I found out Woody did all the driving at their facility under controlled conditions. I am more interested in the data from the test that they pulled from the logger.

The Dunlop winning is not a surprise, it is a VERY good autocross tire as is the RS3.

I wonder how much better all of these tires would be if they were allowed to build some heat in them before an autocross run.

Long lasting for shure.. Theese in the pic are from 76`.. Same Company?

They had cooler names before atleast, probably descent in their time too, I was told that even when this were New, you could do everlasting burnouts without them wearing at all.. Against better knowledge, I have used them (on two cars.....) in the front, and if you drive fast you can rapidly steer, and all you hear is "Grrrrr" from the tires and you just og straight Ahead.. They are killer in the wet, literally..

Modern cars should have such tires, maybe then People would drive nicer and calmer.. He..He..

(They are actually totally "fine" I have kept up With an Golf GTI on twisty turns With an 2-gen.. But there are smarter tires to use..)

Here there is many who use Pirelli P-Zeros, one of the more "serious" types

Thanks for posting

What I find funny is how they did the test with the Pro Touring / G Machine crowd in mind, yet the top two tires are not available in a size larger than 285 in 18''. The Hankook has a 305 19'' but that's it.

In my opinion that basically throws them both out.

I think a large majority of the guys with ProTouring cars are running larger rear tires. 315,335,345...

So in my opinion the BF Goodrich Rival proved it's worth and Hot Rod basically proved nothing.
