Wheels are such a personal choice; it's tough to recommend, because what one person likes the next may not. That's why there's thousands of choices, and why it's so hard to pick.

Maybe if you post up 3-4 you like with pics, the guys can help you make a choice.

We're obviously biased but I think Rushforth Wheels would look best on your car! Honestly though, Jody is exactly right. Your favorite wheel will look the best on your car. 18s and 19s are exactly what I would run on a 65-66 Mustang too.

Here is a 65 coupe we recently finished up:
Front 17x7 w/ 225/45/17
Rear 17x8 w/ 245/45/17

Its not a 65 but here is a 69 we did a few years back that had Boze Shifter 17x7 front and 18x8 rear (since you mentioned Boze wheels).

Just please do not do a five spoke "Torque-Thrust" look wheel. Dare to be different. If you like a more modern protouring look the Rushforths are a great option. Or you can go a more traditional trans-am/vintage racing look with brands such as billet specialties. I am really happy with my Team III wheels, they give a unique old school look not often seen on PT cars. As said above it is too personal of a choice for us to make the choice for you. Wheels determine the whole feel of the car.

Shameless pics of my LT III wheels

Default Fesler Wheels are very resonable for 3-piece

I can build any wheel in our line or the Asanti line to fit your car perfect. The 3 piece wheels might cost more up front but are cheaper in the long run. Cheaper to replace a hoop if you hit a curb and very easy to repaint and change up every few years.

Boze 17x7 and 18x8
The rear always needs to come up on these cars IMO so we stagger the sizes

Steve, that little coupe has one of the best stances on any early mustang I've seen.
