Attn.: Car Builders $100K-plus Prize Purse

Barrett-Jackson is, again, hosting a Best-In-Show competition at this years Hot August Nights / Reno-Tahoe Auction.

It's called The Barrett-Jackson Cup.

Last year's first-ever event was won by the Rad Rides Torino. For that event, the prize purse was $40K -- still huge, but....

This year, companies and sponsors have really jumped on board, so the total prize purse has grown to more than $100K and counting. To the best of my knowledge, that purse is unprecedented. By comparison, I think you get $10K for winning the Ridler. In addition to the prizes, the winner and finalists will be presented on National TV.

If you have an amazing build, aim it towards Hot August Nights. To enter, all you have to do is register for the downtown Show N Shine. Look for judges Bobby Alloway, Pete Chapouris, and Bob Millard. They know a thing or two about cool cars and Best In Show competitions.

Again, the Barrett-Jackson Cup winner and best in show finalists will get announced on National TV and win their share of an unprecedented $100K - plus.
