Default T56 Magnum Stock Shifter

Does the stock shifter that comes with the T56 Magnum have springs to center it like the aftermarket shifters do or not really compared to them? I'm hoping that when in second I can just slam it forward and have it go into 3rd.

Yes. The Tremec shifter that comes standard on the T-56 Magnum does have centering springs.

Though by no means is it a Hurst Blackjack. Which is worth every penny considering the amount of contact time you have with it......IMO.

Yes fixed. The shifter only leaked if it was in the forward position over the gear below on the Magnum.

I can guarantee that if you "just slam it forward" into 3rd with the Tremec shifter you will end up in 5th every time. That is NOT the correct way to shift a T56 Magnum. I learned that your shifts are much more positive if you shift with your finger tips.

The stock Tremec shifter has a centering spring but it will not lock out 5th when shifting to 3rd. Personally, I am holding out for the S1 sequential shifter.

I have been emailing the guys at S1 about a Magnum shifter offering and that was months ago. Hopefully they finish something up this year.

That would be really slick.
