Default Getting to Optima Event from Vegas

I just bought a ticket to the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational. I was wondering, is there any sort of organized method for getting out there from Vegas or is everybody renting a car?

years past we've ridden with a friend (thanks Stuart!) but this year we will be renting a car. You do NOT want to take a cab; did that one year to get back from Pahrump to LV to fly out, cost $150 without tip.

This is the first year I'm flying in and out -- so figured to rent a car to get to Optima and back (I'll go out at O'dark thirty - and stay to the bitter end...before heading back to LV Saturday night). I'd far prefer to hook up with someone else that's going out and planning on staying the whole day (I'll be working if Jimi has any say about it... LOL)....

So anyone want to hook up?? Or if you don't have a way out - let me know - and I'll rent the car and take some others out.

I've got a rental car for pickup Friday and return late Saturday - staying at the Bellagio... it's a full size car so have room for 3 people.

Greg, the O'Dark thirty is not a problem, but I'm flying out of Vegas @ 7:05 PM...if that works I'm in!

That probably won't work... it's a good hour drive and you've got to be at the airport earlier than you flight etc -- and I don't want to be under pressure to split "early". It's fun to hang out with everyone at the end of the day. Sorry.

no worries...it seems like there are lots of people from here going so getting out there & back should not be an issue. Worst case scenario, I'll rent a car and drive folks out/back with me. Look forward to meeting you out there.

I'm usually working all day at the Auto X timing desk... and I think they ran pretty late in the afternoon last year. So I hate to commit to "early".
