Yesterday I was able to attend round 2 of the Wilwood Corvette Challenge at Willow Springs!
Check out the full album here.
As soon as we arrived, we found a Darren in distress and Jake helped him remove a busted RV tire.
Willow Springs is one of my favorite tracks because of its unique desert beauty.
The Corvette Challenge was running simultaneously with an open track day, so some cool imports were in attendance as well.
With a high of about 80 degrees, it was a little hotter than ideal...Hard to believe some parts of the country are in a deep freeze.
Racecar.
Big Willow was occupied with motorcyclists also enjoying an open track day.
The starting line was a little dusty...
While walking around looking for spots to shoot from, I met this little husky named Duchess.
Grid shot
Jake's best time was a 1:25! (Although he did end up having to get under the car for a bit due to some alignment issues...he just can't catch a break, really.)
Thank you for a fun day, Speed Ventures & Willow Springs! Everything was right on schedule and everyone ran fast times.
Next stop - USCA Thunderhill. Hope to see you there!
