Starting to get some of the interior pieces done...

Seats from an early Audi TT recovered in her choices...

Working on a raised platform for the drivers side floor.... once we raised the seats so she could easily see out, she was tippy-toe on the floor...

Steve
I picked these seats in particular because of several features (I used to have a 02 TT) they are very supportive, they are all manual-no electric motors, fairly light, and have seat height adjustment using a gas strut. Of course the tracks don't line up with the FJ bolt holes, I made some simple brackets from angle iron...

Hopefully these images aren't too dark and you can tell whats what...

This is the outer front bracket on drivers seat,

Outer front bracket on the passenger seat.. (the inner front brackets are basically identical to the outers...)

The rear bracket is a little different, instead of a simple L tab like the front, it runs all the way across the back of the seat...

Just a piece of angle iron with a tab welded on the top at each end for the seat track to bolt to... the notch you see cut out of the center of the bracket is where the height adjust shock under the seat was hitting the bracket when you slide the seat back...

It's actually helped me stay motivated working on two projects at the same time... I get delayed on a part I need, or frustrated with how something is coming together, I just go over to the other and see what I can do there.

The only problem comes when they both need cash instead of labor... hers usually gets the budget first

Keep the info and pics going Jeff ... I'm right behind you, picking up a TON of stuff in Buffalo next week to get my project started.

Looking forward to seeing it back from the interior shop !

Cheers
