I knew somebody was going to ask me that question...
Their is a piece of 2x2 sq. tubing .120 wall that we put inside of the inner cowl structure that was welded thru the interior underdash.. plus a 1/4 plate flange so that the round flanges for the down bars on the firewall have a bearing surface..
I put in a request to the machine shop last week to make some more flanges.. waiting on cost to see if I will offer them for sale..

The firewall in these cars is just sheet metal with no real support behind it as I recall. So I'm wondering how much actual benefit these bars would be in preventing subframe flex...
I recall seeing somewhere that you make the round adapters that go in the firewall. If so, do you sell those as well? Depending on the answers to the above, I might consider a set for my car, but I won't have a cage to attach to behind the dash...
No paint work on this car Tony... Owner just want to get her running again & will get painted later..

I already did this on a 2nd gen.. Tranny is huge! We will see how this one goes..

Here is another project I am working on.. This little Nova came in for a LS conversion..
We tore the whole car apart & gave it a "Quick & Dirty" paint job... Getting a LS6 with T56, DSE mini tubs, leafs, shocks & spring relocation, was getting a Wayne Due chassis but decided to keep the orginal chassis, DSE upper & lower control arms, sway bar, & shocks, Baer brakes, Fiske wheels with PS2 tires & more...
man, im going to have to talk to you about one of your "quick and dirty" paint jobs. id love to stop by and talk on the way up to the parents in san luis in a month or so.
Tim
