502 RJ Engine Harness

Is there a trick to plugging in the injector connectors from the engine harness (initial install)? I thought I had it figured out...I spun the injector bodies around so that the plugs pointed up, but am not able to reinstall the injector retaining clips with the injectors in that position. Do they go in from the bottom? What a PITA!
