Default New rolling stock.

Yay, new wheels. Stole them off some sucka's Mustang... actually, they're the brand new American Racing "427" wheel. Was ready to buy some CCW Classics but then I saw these and changed my mind as I really liked the more vintage look.

The only thing I don't love about them is the center of the knockoff adapters say "Shelby" on them. That was unexpected because they're blank in the pics on AR's website. Actually I don't mind but I'm 99.5% sure I'll get sick of everyone at car shows asking "why did you put Shelby wheels on a Chevy?" Either that or I'll get a court order from his lawyers asking for royalties. Eventually I'll spin 'em in a lathe and face the logo off. At that point I might put them on a friend's 2-axis NC Bridgeport and use a small ball end mill to put a bowtie outline on them.

Details:

Front: 17 x 9.5 with 5.5" backspace using my old 1/2 worn down 255/45 Michelin Pilot Sports

Back: 17 x 11 with 6.5" backspace using 285/40 Kumho Ecsta MX

Also, since my last round of pictures I've dropped the front of the car another 5/8" and dropped the back another 1 3/8".

Pics...

Looks good! Wish I could fit some rubber like that under my car.
