Default What late model booster m/c fits a 1st gen Camaro?

Hey guys, for my 69 Camaro with C5 front brakes and 2001 F body rear brakes, I need to know what late model Master Cylinder and Brake booster is the most direct fit to the stock 69 pedal....AND,

What else is needed to connect it?

If you guys remember, I hid a non-power master cylinder in the side cowl of my 69 to have the ultra flush firewall.

Well...I am going to be driving the car a lot more in the future as a daily driver situation and need more brake assist.

PLEASE - part numbers, fitting issues...etc, would be Very helpful.

Hey guys...I'm going to venture out on a limb.

I found a place selling GTO boosters and m/c for $35 plus $20 S&H.

I have one coming.

It has a different look than the typical C5/6 or 4th gen F body unit.

We'll see if it works. If not, I talked to Frank at Prodigy and will just get one of his stainless units, then scotch bright it up to get the bling down to a machine looking finish and set that up on the car.

Post a pic when you get it, I'm curious what it looks like.

The booster will be here this week.

I also have a 4th gen Camaro one coming so I can compare/contrast.

I see there isn't much room between the engine and booster - thus the need for the small diameter.

We will see.

Remove the brackets from the back of a first gen booster. With minor modifications they will fit on a late g-body (regal monte cutlass etc) 9" booster

I got the GTO booster and took a close look at it last night.

It is just under 10" in diameter - putting it DARN close to the engine - but because my LS1 sits a bit further forward (BPR mounts) - it looks like it will clear. HOWEVER, I am not yet sure how it will mount.

The 4th gen F body booster will be on its way to me. Since the car still works as it, I am going to wait until I have both boosters in hand before I tear it down.

Believe it or not, I have to pull the hood and the left fender to do this since my current master cylinder is tucked up under the cowl. That will give me plenty of room to work though and make sure this bad boy is factory correct.

"IF" I can't get either of these to work, I love the idea of using a stock bracket on a G body booster per Efi69Cam.

Right now I don't have a stock 69 booster though, so I'd have to do some digging.
