Default 63 SWC Corvette project

Hi all..Fairly new to this site and enjoy seeing what people can come up with. My project is a 63 Split Window Corvette with on LS2/T56 and a C5 Corvette suspension at all 4 corners. It has been in the works for almost 4 years and we are on the second attempt at updating the running gear. The booger eating moron I had make the first attempt at grafting the C5 suspension on the stock frame failed miserably (when you pull a welded in frame support gusset off with your hand you kind of have to condemn every other weld on the frame, not to mention many other geometry issues). From those ashes, I went with a SRIII tube frame setup with C5 pickups at all 4 corners. We are departing from the standard SRIII arrangement in the rear by combining a "batwing" Dana 44 (C4 style) with the C5 double wishbone. This is the current project within the project. Once the rearend is sorted out the frame will be powdercoated and then reassembly will begin. The current target is to have it done in October but after 4 year and countless missed deadlines, I am not holding my breathe.

A couple pics so I don't get stoned by the masses right out of the gate.

Sweet project. Midyear coupes are my favorite American car design ever. And the '63 is tops of that group.

XcYZ,

I saw a post linked to the vid of your Corsa db mufflers. Are you still digging on them? I am thinking about going that route for my car (those or Magnaflows at this point).

Cheers,

Jim
