Default Just sold at Barrett Jackson.....

THis car:

http://www.lateral-g.org/distad/

http://www.barrett-jackson.com/aucti....asp?id=178758

I thought it might have gone closer to $100K.

I was glued to the computer during the time the original builder/owner was putting this beast together.

I hope the new owner gets to have some fun!

Yep, back in January. I know Andy didn't lose money when he sold it at the auction, but talk about a drop in value from when it was built!

I swear that it is cheaper to buy one than to build one. It is just hard finding the perfect car.

Merlin522 on Corvetteforum built the car. I remember all the updates that were posted and the website the owner had showing the progress of the cart

I haven't posted this because it wasn't good politics, but since it's sold... I was supposed to drive it the day I took those pictures and video, but the alternator support bolt that goes into the head broke off inside the head, so in order to get the video, Andy pulled the alternator and belt so he could drive it up and down the driveway. The weather turned bad before he fixed it so I never got another chance to drive it before the B-J auction. Bummer. I really wanted to get a few miles in that car.

The buyer really got his moneys worth. I saw it on B-J and wondered why it didn't do better.

From what I could hear of the repeat of the auction, it didnt sound like the tone tha announcers were using was to friendly to a modified car. Stuff like "This is about the only place you could get that much money for this car." Kinda ticked me off.

My opinion of some of the unmodified boring cars was not as high as the Vette. Oh well, to each their own, I guess.
