Default T56 on a big block

I have a t56 out of an lt1 camaro and want to put it on a big block, its a 2 piece rear main and its internally balanced, so can I use the stock lt1 flywheel? Does anyone make a light weight one? Any help would be great. Thanks Telly

No to LT1 flywheel, they only work on oprms.

Ram makes a aluminum flywheel.

There are a number of places that make flywheels in both aluminum and steel that will work. i used a Fidanza aluminum behind my int. balanced BBC.

We stock this neutral balanced part and can make you a killer price on it and free shipping. PM if interested or call and ask for Gene.

A little off topic but I have been wanting to put this transmission in my car with a big block also... the engine is externally balanced though. Will I have to have everything rebalanced with a new flywheel? It's an auto right now.

No. Just get a flywheel with a weight. Mc Leod makes one.
