Default Can the kids come out to play?

I always joke that we live just outside of civilization. Our back yard borders about a 20-30 acre plot with a small herd of cattle and the kids are constantly out at the fence feeding them grass clippings, my littlest one goes out there and tells them stories, etc...

Well this morning I was checking email in my office which sits at the front of the house when I heard an odd noise on the front porch. I opened up the shutters to see that one of their friends had come over to see if the kids could play.

Yes, I live in Texas....

Don't give the kids any ideas!

Last night's surprise was a kitten pawing at one of the windows- only about 2-3 weeks old dehydrated and starved. Its been 100*+ for the last week so this little guy is lucky to be alive. We already have 1 cat and for me its 1 too many so once this one is healthy its going to a find another home.
