Default Amsleys 68 C10-V

ive had this 68 short bed chevy for a couple of years and been waiting for the time to do something crazy with. i didnt want to build something to crazy expensive in these uncertian economic times, so i decided to build a drifter/show truck on a lean budget (under 25k ). i scored a LS6 6spd, out of an 04 CTX-V ,pretty cheap on ebay. ive been working with jason rushfourth to come up with some crazy metal work. i dont know whether to call it the LIL RED DRIFTER or C10-V . im truly building this truck to lay rubber and have fun with . bill

Bill , neat truck . I like the C10-V name fits pretty well.
Let me know if you need anything getting that LS engine running. Since your on a budget look me up for some good used parts time to time. Might even have some extra HP stuff for ya at some point if you need it.

Jason

Smile frame pics

heres a few pics of my very slow frame progress. ive installed a rear four bar from fat mans, and have the frame partially boxed. working with 1/8 plate steel is a lot tougher to work with than the 18-20 guage that im used to . i pre fit the engine & trans and re pulled it ,to do the boxing. im doing all this work at home so ignore the mess. im only geting about 2hr a day to play with this project , so i hate to spend 1 hr of that cleaning up . bill

Any reason you spent the money to upgrade to the 4-link vs. using the OE truck arms? Seems the OE stuff would have worked fine for your application & mild ride height change w/o adding the the build costs (since you did mention something about a budget).
