Default Turbo 400 Question

So I Bought A Turbo 400 From A Buddy. We Drained The Oil And It Was Super Clean. It Looks Like It Was Rebuilt Because The Paint Looked Good, The Seal Looked New, And The Fluid Was Clean. Queastion Is Should I Just Refill It And Run It? I Even Have A 2600 New Converter For It. If I Dont Need To Go Through It I Wont But I Need Some Input. Thanks:d

What did the buddy say about it? Is he a good enough buddy to tell you what you want to hear or the truth?

If you will be using it right away and you can afford to take a little risk, put it in and try it out. If you have time, I'd put a new front, rear seal and new trans pan gasket after inspecting the filter to see if it has crud or the pan has any shiny parts that shouldn't be there.
