Default New Guy, 2 projects.

Hey guys, been lurking for a while but thought I woud go ahead and introduce myself. First off I seem to be a glutten for punishment. I was/still am building a 76 vette. Going pro touring with it. Right now it is drivetrainless, interiorless and media blasted. Needless to say I still have alot to do. that being said I just picked up a 67 Camaro. Its drivable (when i put it back together) but needs some work. I picked it up from a friend of mine after I couldn't talk him into keeping it. He was in a little fender bender a while back and bought all the replacement parts for it but never put it back together for some reason. So, I have everything to get the back back to normal. I promised myself that I wouldn't do anything untill the vette is done but I did pull the 67 out today and played with it and took some pics to show how it was when I first got it. Even put the 17s that I have for my vette on it to see how it looked. Below are some links to look at the cars if anyone wants. I really dont' have any good ones of the vetteon the net but will upload some later. I'm glad I found such a good resource to help me in during these 2 projects. Maybe one day I can have them as nice as I see some of the cars on here.

Welcome aboard. Looks like you'll have a pair of cool cars when done.

Vette has offset trailing arms and a shortened spring so I can tuck some meat under it. Have the TT2s with the grey spokes to go in it. Going to go with sidepipes and maybe a LT1. I havent' really decided on the engine platform yet. I'm building a turbo bottem end for my 95 Formula so I will have a good one sitting there ready to go in. But for right now it will be a 383 carbed motor. It ran pretty good with the old 355 in it going 11.8s. I'm swaping over to a T-56 from the auto. Or course all new interior and I'm thinking of going with some black c5 seats in it. Brakes will be upgraded. I'm still deciding which ones to go with. Also puting a ventage air(or equal) in it to keep it cool on the power tour or any other trip we want to take.

The Camaro is gonna kinda be done the same thing but may build a turbo ls1 for it. I'm gonna keep it an auto W/ overdrive so the wife can get in and drive it if she wants too. I just got it so its still up in the air exactly what will be done.

Welcome to the site SharkRay.

They both look nice, but you might want to do whatever it takes to make the Camaro completely driveable and then stop and work on the Corvette. i.e. Enjoy one while you are working on the other. Having two "dead" cars is not fun not fun at all.

Jay, Nice car man. I've seen your buildup on corvetteforum.com. Very nice.

Speedster. I was thinking of doing that. I think I can get the camaro back on the road really easy. It runs great jsut needs to be put back together. I have everything so I don't see a reason not to finish it real quick so I can enjoy it.

Anyone have any idea what those seats are out of?
