I think most of us feel 100% of what your saying,
My car has been sitting since October in the heated garage, itching to get out.
well it's out, and Of Course we had to upgrade it (cant leave well enougth alone) i think this is a specific mental illness associated with car guys.
so after 4 days of working on a perfectly good car not including the 2 days at the dyno. and i have lost track of the accounting process of this excersise.
today we are ready to load the car in the trailer and drive 1700 miles to see if we can break it??? guess what. the speedo doesn't work. the brake pade were swapped front to rear, and new pads and rotors in the front. well first applicationof the breaks brings with it an loud clicking from all 4 corners.
take it all appart........... the pads are too short for the caliper and are knocking. remove all the pads weld to the trailing edge of the pad to build up the length???? didn't these ust come out of the front??? and a brand new set out of the box??? measured them. EXACTLY the same length as the original set.
James............. I hear ya.
see you thursday.
