This all sounds very familiar. ONly difference for me is I'm just trying to go drive down to the freeway, not run the one lap !

But, generally the more you drive and wrench the car, the more bulletproof it gets. I had one season of 5-6 good solid track days without issues. One guy said "I've never seen a car with that much power survive a track day so well".

Since then, every time (6 ? 7 ? ) I have gone to the track I have had a problem (oil leaks from bad hoses, wastegate bolts loosening up, rubber hose lighting on fire, bad plug wires, etc.)

This game is tougher than people think, maybe that's why they stick to late models.

Forget about coming down to wire... This one is going to come down to a miracle.

Nothing is ever perfect and all to often the harder we push to make something happen, the harder it pushes back. Keep in mind that at the end of the day we (you, me and everyone else) does this for fun. It's one thing if the car doesn't make it to RTTC. It's another if you don't. Laurie and I sincerely hope you and the family will be there. It's been way to long since we've seen you guys and it's time we hang out and have some laughs.

Curtis,

You're absolutely right - the point of ALL of this is fun! Some guy named Emmerson (who was later quoted by another guy named Tyler) once said "Life's a journey, not a destination" and that really does (or should) sum it all up. There is not a minute of my time with the OLC that I would trade for anything. I have been blessed in that a labour of love has lead to a huge circle of friends which have ultimately resulted in a lifetime of experiences in a relatively sort time.

We loaded the car up tonight "as is" and will finish things up in the parking lot tomorrow if we can. It might be ready, it might not. I will be at RTTC one way or another... If I have to finish it in a rented Kia I will... More than anything I'm looking forward to a weekend amongst friends. Unfortunately Deb and Eve won't make it this time... Mary wore the two of them out last month and they're grounded for a while.

One way or another... See you soon!
