Hood strut source needed
Where can I get the black billet hood hinge struts from? I need some for a bare carbon fiber hood and I need them within a week to my doorstep.
Anyone have a source? Thanks

Sometimes the extra $100 is worth the sanity of knowing they will work / fit the application. Otherwise try McMaster Carr and spend twice that "experimenting" with different pressures / lengths etc until you get the "right" one.

There was a thread a few months ago in which Fesler stated that their struts were custom built for their application, such that there wasn't an off-the-shelf part you could use in its place. Ah, found it:

My Ring Bros. struts are not going to cut it with the extra metal added to my hood! I have spoken with this gentleman and he is going to re & re them to work with the extra weight.
He also sells new.
