Default 67 Firebird update

I few parts I ordered from Jegs.
Hotchkis rear spring kit
Solid front sway bar(cheap)(hollow is on my wish list)
Stainless braided brake lines.
Plus part need for the motor.
The money i saved getting the solid front bar over the hollow bar let me buy all the parts needed to finish the assembly of my motor.
The plan is to have it back on the road by the end of the month.

Cool, you just don't see that many 1st Gen Firebirds getting the treatment.

Cool Firebird. Glad that you are making it your own. Since you are another 1st gen bird guy, if you happen to need any parts, give me a yell. I have quite a few items and I started throwing stuff out. I already threw out the factory 400 hood, trunk lid, front valence, etc. I have things like the original rear factory ducktail spoiler, a brand new T/A rear wing for a 67/68, front spoiler, windows, trim parts, seats and a ton of engine, drivetrain, etc. parts. I don't have the time to do the Ebay thing.

The bird is back together. The motor is in and ready to start this weekend. The front sway bar is on, The rebuilt 10bolt w/posi 3.55 gears is installed w/ new Hotchkis springs and Russel brake line.
I changed my mind on a few things. I have decided to run Cal-trac bars, ordered a low profile set today, should have them on this weekend. I'm planning on running this car in the NHRA summit series at barona next year. but don't thinks it's drag only I still want this thing to handle and ride good. I know it will take some compromise and some work . I have some ideas and i'll share them as I try them out.
Currently running stock Pontiac v8 front springs the height is perfect now. But because i have never driven this car I want to see how they feel before i run out and by stiffer springs. Have new 235/60-15s on iroc 15x7 all around. Plan to upgrade to 245/50-15 pilots front/rear on 15x8 pontiac ralleys and 275/50-15 bfg drag radials in the back at the drags.
for brakes the plan now is for 12inch rotors all around with wilwood 6/4 piston calipers, w/dual master Cylinders, still reserching this and will be awhile before it's done
Should have the time to take some pics this weekend i'll post them later.

Jerry
